What is a PDO Thread Lift?

What are PDO Threads?

PDO threads are FDA-approved hypodermic needles preloaded with a synthetic PDO absorbable suture. They are one of the safest materials to use in the body partially due to the fact that they are naturally absorbed within 4 to 6 months without causing scar tissue. Once applied, PDO threads work to produce a more naturally lifted complexion because they successfully activate the skin’s natural response to produce collagen for longer-lasting results after the PDO threads have been absorbed.

How Do Treatments Work?

An initial consultation with one of our caring professionals is always required in order to curate a treatment plan tailored to your concerns and specific skin needs.

The process requires no incisions and is performed solely using injections. During treatment, a numbing topical is first applied to the precise area for optimal comfort. 

The targeted treatment areas are then marked. The PDO threads are gently inserted beneath the surface of the skin using a tiny hollow needle to support the sagging areas of the skin without depleting the structure. The threads then work to grasp on to the soft skin tissue, lift, and reposition it. Once the needle is positioned, and the skin is lifted and contoured, the needle is then gently removed. 

The PDO threads remain beneath the skin activating the collagen production response and dissolve within a few months following treatment leaving behind your skin’s natural properties and a more lifted appearance. 

Depending on the number of treatment areas, various suture lengths may be used to achieve the best outcome and appearance.
